All Roles if/when available: Setup and Teardown (lasts about an 1-2 hours) of helping setup/tear down tables, chairs, cleanup.
- Expo Support: General support role for the expo, helping setup CGDC showcase/expo booths, chairs, tables, runners(running between sections of the conference).
- Amount Requested: 2
- Main Room: Attend to speaker/presenter needs(bring water, alert speaker of how much time they have remaining, etc), distribute/collect feedback forms, count attendees for each session, carry microphone for audience QA(if done popcorn style).
- Amount Requested: 2
- Registration: Work under the registration team to provide documentation, swag, etc. Assist with registration procedures and make sure visitors are registered properly.
- Amount Requested: 2
- Security: Work under the security team for security needs.
- Amount Requested: 1- 3
- Floor Manager: Usually Coordinator. Role for the entire conference, periodically check that volunteers are where they need to be and are fulfilling tasks for their roles. Ad hoc problem solving.
Total Requested Volunteers: 7-10
Volunteers who commit to eight or more hours of volunteer work receive a 50% discount off conference registration fees. Minimum age to volunteer is 12 years old. Minors (16 years and under) must be accompanied by an adult (who also volunteers).
