Unlike previous years, the 2025 conference does not include a food package, so attendees will be responsible for providing / paying for their own food. That said, we did want to make you aware of your options:
Breakfast:
The Holiday Inn Grand Rapids has an in-house restaurant call Burger Theory which is opened for breakfast Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 11am and Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 11am. The menu includes typical favorites (pancakes, French toast, breakfast burritos, etc.) at reasonable prices ($11 to $15).
Other nearby breakfast options include Starbucks (0.5 miles / 13 minutes), Quiet Café (0.4 miles / 10 minutes), Morning Belle (0.5 miles / 12 minutes), and Panera Bread (0.3 miles / 6 minutes).
Lunch:
Concessions will be available inside the Realm Makers Expo, located in Expo Hall C of the Devos Place Convention Center (the same venue where the conference is located). Menu offerings include burgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, beef nachos, turkey sub sandwich, and a variety of beverages for between $6 and $18. Conference attendees will have access to visit the Expo as part of their CGDC Conference registration (NOTE: there are separate fees to Exhibit at the Expo).
Outside the venue, nearby low cost lunch options include Express Café (0.3 miles / 7 minutes) and Sundance Grill (0.2 miles / 6 minutes). There are also more moderately (and expensive) priced specialty options including sushi, seafood, Mexican, French, pubs/bistros, and a pizzeria nearby.
Dinner:
CGDC will be hosting nightly gatherings/Mixers for attendees at different nearby restaurants. Details will be announced and added here as they emerge.
Burger Theory is also open for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 4pm to 10pm and Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 11pm.
