Conference Volunteer

The Christian Game Developers Conference (CGDC) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to support the smooth operation of our upcoming event. As a Conference Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of this prestigious conference, connect with like-minded individuals in the gaming industry, and gain valuable experience in event management.

About CGDC: The Christian Game Developers Conference (CGDC) is an annual gathering of professionals, enthusiasts, and aspiring game developers who are passionate about the intersection of faith and gaming. Our mission is to provide a platform for networking, collaboration, and the exploration of the creative and spiritual aspects of game development.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the registration process, including checking in attendees, distributing conference materials, and providing information about the conference schedule.
• Support the speakers and presenters by ensuring they have the necessary equipment and materials for their sessions.
• Monitor and manage virtual conference rooms, ensuring that attendees have a smooth and seamless experience during presentations, workshops, and panel discussions.
• Assist with technical setup and troubleshooting, helping attendees with any technical issues they may encounter during the conference.
• Help manage virtual networking sessions, facilitating connections between participants and encouraging meaningful discussions.
• Provide general assistance and support to the conference organizers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Passion for gaming, with an understanding and appreciation of the intersection between faith and game development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of participants and create a welcoming environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other volunteers and conference staff to achieve common goals.
• Basic technical proficiency and familiarity with virtual conference platforms (experience with platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Discord is a plus).
• Availability to commit to a minimum number of hours during the conference period (specific hours will be determined based on the conference schedule).
